Nightmare Island
A downloadable game for Windows
This was a university project (2021) in which we had to make a whole island walking simmulator that makes the player feel a emotion, this one being a horror themed one to scare players.
As you walk, you'll have to face your fears and don't let them consume you, as there's a secret hidden in the depths of this lonely and scary island.

Unbeknownst to you, this game brought back memories from the time I lived and worked in Thailand. So, although billed as a nightmare, my heart warmed up when I played this game, as all the things that happened to me back then [booze, drugs, women] flooded back into present day settings.So, thank you in every way possible. They game looked great and was a joy to play. I didn't tun into any bug or other hiccups.

La estética es bastante buena, da curiosidad saber que ha pasado en esa isla. Por otro lado, la música y los efectos también están muy logrados, un trabajazo en general :)
Nice environment. So enveloping. Nice sensations.
Sencillamente, el juego cumple con esa sensación de incomodidad a la hora de ir explorando la isla, quizas con unos cuantos efectos de sonido más y una delicia, algo que te haga sentir como si estuvieras siendo acosado por algo.

The idea of the game being the main character walking around the island before finding the horrifying secrets in the cave at the end of the game was quite well done in terms of atmosphere and mood of the environment through darkness, rain and thunder but I felt that more could have been done to make the game more horrifying. It took me about 3 minutes to finish the game and I felt that there was a lack of storytelling and logic as to why the main character follow the torches before entering a cave on a rainy night in a random island. Moreover, more horrifying elements could have been added like jumpscares or visual images to make the entire experience more horrifying and better for the player altogether.

Sadly my shitty pc couldn't handle it, maybe it's time to change it heh. But as i watched game play, i can easily say that IT'S COOL! It's got me scared (maybe because im a writer and i like when noting is jumping out of nowhere lol) Sound, graphic, lighting, shadows are good!

Eerie and atmospheric but ultimately not scary. Sound was good. The game looks good. And everything works. Now just need to bump up the scares.
